Summer Technology Workshop

The Advanced Network Management Lab at Indiana University would like to invite motivated Indiana high school students who love technology to attend a FREE half-day summer workshop.

The Summer Technology Workshop on June 28 is now full and registration is closed. If you are interested in receiving notices about future technology education events, please send an email with your child’s name and grade level to reachptl@indiana.edu.

When?

Where?

Advanced Network Management Lab, Pervasive Technology Labs at Indiana University in The Showers Building 501 N. Morton St., Bloomington IN (map).

Who?

The program is for motivated students interested in technology who will be high-school sophomores, juniors, or seniors in the fall of 2007. The workshop will be facilitated by real technology professionals employed by Indiana University.

What?

Hands-on network security simulation exercise: you and your team work to spot network “intruders” faster and better than a competing team. IU Machine Room Tour: See the machines that support Indiana University and national research networks, including IU’s Big Red Supercomputer. Talk to technology professionals: learn about careers related to computer networks and network security. Make new friends: meet other Indiana high-school students who share your interest in technology.

How?

To reserve a slot at this workshop please have your parent or teacher send an email with the subject line “Summer Workshop Registration” to: reachptl@indiana.edu. They should include your name, your grade level in fall 2007, and your home mailing address. Or they can reach us by phone at (812) 856-1242. We will hold a spot for you and mail out an information packet, registration form, and parent/guardian consent form.
